London Craft Week

London Craft Week, experience the magic of true creativity, see what real quality means, meet some of the world’s most respected makers and artists and even have a try. This May is the second London Craft Week and will showcase exceptional craftsmanship from around the world.

There are 130 events across the city, featuring hidden workshops and unknown makers alongside celebrated craft masters, famous studios, galleries, shops and luxury brands including myself and Rachel Trevor-Morgan royal milliner.

Please come and join us for tea at the Dorchester on 04 May 2016 at 15:00 – 16:00.

We will be talking about our craft, love of millinery and what makes the perfect hat. Come to see some of our creations, learn about the design process and try on some hats. We will discuss our respective careers and how we started in business.

Rachel Trevor-Morgan millinery was established in 1990. Rachel operates from her 17th-century atelier in London St James’s where she delivers private client commissions. Her success arises from a passion for her craft, and an understanding of the balance required for a hat to flatter and finish an outfit. In 2006, Rachel was appointed to design hats for the Queen, and was awarded the Royal Warrant 2014.

I started my millinery business in 1991, and have been working from my shop in Battersea, London for the last 19 years. Previously, I studied millinery at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) New York and The London College of Fashion, as well as doing private classes with some of the world’s finest milliners. My work is bespoke and each piece is entirely hand made. Myself and my small team strive do our utmost to design the perfect headpiece or hat to compliment your character, outfit, and the occasion.

Our craftsmanship is impeccable from a hand-blocked base down to the intricate fine details of custom dyed flower petals, individually chosen beads and hand trimmed feathers.

We look forward to meeting you at the Dorchester!

      Hi Matthew,
I think 2016 is well in hand, but if you check the London Craft Week Contacts Page there are several email contacts that you can try, they may need volunteers or you can enquire about LCW 2017. Kind regards, Leanne
